Cindy Sparks

Vice President of External Relations

Cindy Sparks joined the Friedman Foundation in May 2004 as Vice President of External Relations. In this position, Ms. Sparks leads many of the Foundation’s development efforts, including the Friedman Foundation’s 50th Anniversary Celebrations in New York and Los Angeles in 2005.

Ms. Sparks spent nine years with the Pacific Research Institute as Vice president of Strategic Development & Corporate Affairs. In that position, she managed development, donor relations, solicited major funding and developed PRI’s annual fundraising strategies and event efforts. Ms. Sparks planned and executed hundreds of events that included PRI’s 20th Anniversary Celebration with lady Margaret Thatcher, George Schultz, Henry Kissenger, William F. Buckley, Jr., Milton & Rose Friedman, George Will and Steve Forbes to name a few

Previously, Ms. Sparks had been a consultant for international conferences (Center for Middle Eastern Affairs) for RAND in Santa Monica, California. She has served as Executive Manager for the executive offices of Crocker Bank, Midland Bank in London and Wells Fargo Bank.
