Jeff Reed
State Programs & Government Relations Director
Jeff Reed joined the Foundation for Educational Choice as State Program and Government Relations Director in February of 2010. In this role, Jeff helps coordinate the Foundation’s efforts to prepare target states for the introduction of school choice.
Previously, Jeff served as Education Task Force Director for the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), the nation’s largest individual membership association of state legislators. In this capacity, Jeff facilitated relationships among ALEC’s state legislators and private-sector members. He also served in ALEC’s public relationships department.
Jeff is an alumnus of the Charles G. Koch Charitable Foundation’s “Koch Associate Program,” which trains young leaders in Market Based Management®, a management philosophy that promotes operational excellence in nonprofit organizations.
Jeff graduated magna cum laude from Ohio University, where he studied political communications and journalism. His opinions have been featured in the Cleveland Plain Dealer, Washington Times, Las Vegas Review Journal, and Forbes.com. Jeff is a native of Noblesville, IN, and currently resides in Indianapolis.
