Jason M. Fields is a member of the Wisconsin State Legislature, representing the 11th Assembly District located on Milwaukee's northwest side. He was first elected in November, 2004.

Prior to being elected, Representative Fields held various positions in the financial and insurance industries. He has been a banker, stockbroker, financial advisor, and portfolio manager helping to manage approximately $100 million in business and private assets. He is currently Vice-President of Matthews Financial Services, and is a licensed securities broker and investment-banking associate.

Representative Fields was elected Caucus Chair of the 19-member Milwaukee legislative delegation in January 30, 2007. He was also selected by The Business Journal as one of 2007’s “Milwaukee’s 40 under 40.”

A native of Milwaukee, Jason Fields has personally witnessed the need for minorities and middle class Americans to take advantage of the financial markets that have richly blessed so many others. Rep. Fields works diligently on behalf of Women, Minorities, and Veteran-owned businesses to insure parity in the marketplace. By increasing state government goals to transact more business with as well as create business opportunities for these targeted groups, we can create more jobs, provide for better education, and develop more enhanced lives for all Wisconsinites.

Rep. Fields also serves on the Legislative Council Special Committee on Review of State School Aid Formula. In addition, he has served on the State Superintendent's Task Force on Wisconsin Model Academic Standards for Personal Finance and the Speaker's Task Force on Medical Malpractice. His current biennial committee assignments include:
