Schedule a Speaking Engagement With Kitty Rhoades
Educated in the Hudson School District, Hudson, Wisconsin, Kitty Rhoades graduated from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls with a bachelor's degree in secondary education. Following graduation, Rhoades continued her education by attending Illinois State University, receiving a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Supervision.
Rhoades is currently serving her fifth term as a Wisconsin State Representative to the 30th Assembly District. Beginning in her first term as an elected official in 1999, she was named to the Assembly Committee on Education, the Assembly Committee on Rural Affairs and Forestry, and the Assembly Committee on Land Use and Conservation. Additionally, Rhoades was named Vice-Chair on both the Assembly Committee on Colleges and Universities as well as the Assembly Committee on Financial Institutions. In January 2000, Kitty was appointed to the Speakers Task Force on Agricultural Education. She currently serves as Assembly Co-Chair of the powerful Joint Committee on Finance for the 2007-2009 session of the Wisconsin State Legislature.
Rhoades has received a fellowship for the Bowhay Institute for Legislative Leadership Conference for exceptional leadership and currently serves as an advisor to the Institute. She previously served as a member of the Forward Wisconsin Board of Directors, the University of Wisconsin-River Falls Alumni Foundation, and Hudson Rotary. She is a fourth generation resident of Hudson, Wisconsin.
