It’s that time of year again (back to school). David and Heath dedicated the entire broadcast to talking about this all important topic: Education. We all know that something is wrong with the public education system. What can be done to fix it? David and Heath believe it starts with empowering the Parents to choose where their kids go to school. Why should a parent be forced to send their child to a school that is failing them, only because of their zip code?
David and Heath invited on two guest for this back to school week to talk all about school choice.
Our first guest this week was Jeff Reed who is with The Foundation for Educational Choice. The foundation was established by Nobel Laureate economist Milton Friedman and economist Rose D. Friedman. Heath and David discuss The Foundation’s latest report:Interstate Survey titled “What Do Voters Say About K-12 Education in Six States? Tune in to learn more. This is a must hear interview.

Our second guest this week is: Virginia Waldon Ford
 About Virginia:
A native of Little Rock, Arkansas, Virginia Walden Ford was raised by William Harry Fowler and Marion Virginia Fowler Armstrong who were both public school educators. Her father was a teacher, a principal and the first black assistant superintendent of the Little Rock school district.
Her mother was one of the first black teachers to work at an all-white elementary school there. The famed Little Rock Nine were the first African-American students to integrate Central High School, in 1957. But Walden-Ford and her twin sister were among a group of about 130 black students who were handpicked to desegregate the city’s high schools on a larger scale in the mid 1960s. Tune in to hear about her story and her fight to help make a quality education a reality for all.
