Our just-released spring 2025 teacher survey—developed by EdChoice and conducted by Morning Consult between March 21-27, 2025, among a sample of 1,032 teachers—reveals a strong rebound in teacher morale, classroom conditions, and support for educational options.

After hitting a low point last year, teachers are now reporting meaningful improvements—and a renewed sense of purpose.

Here’s what stood out:

• Optimism is rising: More than half of teachers say their local school district is headed in the right direction—up 12 points from last spring.
• Wellbeing is improving: 63% say they feel hopeful about the future. More teachers report feeling happy and satisfied, while fewer feel overwhelmed.
• Support for school choice is growing: 74% support Education Savings Accounts (ESAs)—and a clear majority believe all families should have access, regardless of income or need. Importantly, teachers are more likely to support programs with universal eligibility, than those limited to some.
• Classroom disruptions are easing: Reports of frequent student absences and misbehavior are down significantly.
