Does Regulation Reduce Specialization?

This report examines individual private schools in five locations—Washington, D.C., Indiana, Florida, Ohio and Louisiana—as they transition into school voucher environments. The findings show school leaders are more likely to label their schools as ‘less specialized’ post-school voucher programs; more homogenization was recorded in highly-regulated programs; and overregulation can limit school choice options available to families.
