Hawaii does not have a private school choice program, though state lawmakers have considered proposals in the past.
Public School Choice
Hawaii has only one public school district. The state also has intra-district choice, which allows some students to attend traditional public schools outside their zoned school. Hawaii does not have magnet schools.
Charter School Choice
Hawaii has some charter schools, which are publicly funded schools that are free from many of the regulations that restrict traditional public schools.
Home School Choice
