Guam has 26 elementary schools, eight middle schools, eight high schools and an alternative school that are all operated by the Guam Department of Education as a single unified district. The district serves about 30,000 students. There are also 30 private schools operated by religious denominations and non-religious organizations. As far as we know, no local legislators have ever proposed a private educational choice program.
