Emory F. Edwards serves as Vice President of Outreach and Entrepreneurship at EdChoice, where he leads national strategies to expand awareness, access, and responsible use of educational choice. His work focuses on strengthening the ecosystems that enable families, educators, and community leaders to navigate and benefit from a diverse range of high-quality educational options.
In his role, Emory advances partnerships that support educational entrepreneurs, elevate parent and community voice, and connect stakeholders to charter schools, microschools, private schools, and innovative public-school models. He plays a key role in translating education policy and research into practical tools, outreach strategies, and community-centered initiatives that improve understanding and implementation of school choice.
Emory brings more than 20 years of experience in strategic partnerships, outreach, and convening across nonprofit, civic, and community-based sectors. His leadership emphasizes transparency, accountability, and sustainable pathways for school founders and community organizations working to expand educational opportunity.
In addition to his everyday work, Emory has served in civic and nonprofit leadership roles in Indianapolis and nationally, including with 100 Black Men of Indianapolis, the Exchange at the Indianapolis Urban League, Free To Choose Schools, the Madame Walker Theatre, and the Martin Luther King Community Center.
He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Georgia State University and a Certificate in Non-Profit Management from Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis. He resides in Indianapolis with his wife and three children.
