Michael Podgursky is the Chancellor’s Professor of Economics at the University of Missouri-Columbia and a Research Fellow at the Sinquefield Center for Applied Economic Research at Saint Louis University.
His research focuses on the economics of education. He has written many articles in the area, with a primary focus on school finance, teacher labor markets, and human resource policy in schools. He serves on the board of editors of several academic journals including Education Finance and Policy and Education Next, and is an affiliated scholar with the Center for Analysis of Longitudinal Data in Education Research (CALDER) at the American Institutes for Research and the CESifo research network in Munich, Germany.
