From Our Perspective provides a glimpse into the dialogue around education reform—the conversations, the challenges, the testimonies—that are regularly discussed by growing voices from within the African American community.
Join us on the documentary Road Tour as Naomi Shelton and Curtis Valentine along with Chris Stewart, Michael Phillips, Alisha Thomas Morgan (Searcy), Dr. Kathaleena Edward Monds, Dr. Charles Cole, Sekou Biddle, India Johnson, Deirdra Reed and Walter Blanks, Jr. have this authentic conversation about education.
Stream the theatrical or director’s cut of the film on this page as well. Remember to download our free discussion guide to have handy as you watch.
The Director’s Cut will provide a more in-depth conversation with a running time of approx. 2hr 56m.
We want to encourage you to host your own screenings and conversations around our From Our Perspective documentary. To assist you in that process, we’ve created discussion guides to support the planning of your own personal screening and help you navigate questions and dialogue around the documentary. The discussion guides are based on the longer Director’s Cut, but the discussion questions contained within them can also be used for the theatrical release. Feel free to download both the Facilitator’s Guide and Participants’ Guide to begin planning your own screening today!
The From Our Perspective Social Media Toolkit makes sharing about the documentary easy. We encourage you to use these pre-made social media posts on your own accounts when promoting your own screenings of the documentary.
