School Choice in

Northern Mariana Islands

The Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands has nine elementary schools, five middle schools and six high schools all operated by the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands Public School System. There are also at least three schools operated by religious denominations and private entities. As far as we know, no local legislators have ever proposed a private educational choice program, but parents can homeschool according to local laws.
