Inter-District

The receiving district is responsible for transportation when a student transfers to a school closer to the student’s residence than the student’s assigned school. When a student transfers from a low-performing school, the sending district must provide transportation.

Charter School

Charter schools can negotiate with local school boards to provide transportation services.

Private School

Louisiana does not require or provide transportation of private school students.
