Inter-District

The attendance agreement between sending and receiving districts shall outline the financial obligations for transportation costs.

Charter School

The only charter schools in Montana are district-created innovation schools, and thus do not have their own transportation policies.

Private School

Nonpublic school students may ride a public school bus if there is seating capacity available and the child secures a permit from the local school district. The school district may charge the child his or her proportionate share of the cost of operating the school bus.
