Inter-District

Tennessee does not provide support nor requires districts to pay for the transportation of inter-district transfer students.

Charter School

A charter school may make transportation arrangements with the local education agency in which the school is located. If a charter school decides to provide its own transportation, it will receive all funds that would have been spent by the local district on transportation.

Private School

Tennessee does not provide support nor requires districts to pay for the transportation of private school students.
