The Friedman Foundation for Educational Choice became a proud member of the American Association for Public Opinion Research’s (AAPOR) Transparency Initiative (TI) on September 17, 2015. The purpose of the TI is to encourage organizations and researchers to be more transparent about the methods they use when conducting surveys and qualitative  research.
To earn and maintain membership in the TI, organizations like ours commit to reporting methodology in great detail for all survey-based and qualitative research. For the Friedman Foundation, the TI membership applies specifically to our voter and general population polls, statewide private school surveys, and other qualitative research that we publish.
Beyond furthering our commitment to methods transparency, the TI membership gives our researchers access to industry leading methodologists, who will help keep our staff up-to-date on the latest survey research methods.
